If you couldn’t guess, one of my favorite pastimes is looking at new makeup. When I’m bored at home and have a few minutes, I’m usually watching Youtube videos on new products, browsing the Sephora app or looking at makeup on Instagram. That all being said, I usually have my eye on a long of things. Since I always like hearing what other people are into, I thought I’d share what’s currently on my list!
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter
This highlight has been EVERYWHERE. It seems to be the only highlight anyone is talking about lately, but I’ve been on the fence about this one since it launched. While it looks super blinding and pretty on people, I am a bit worried that it would be too dark on my very pale skin and not look nearly as good. However, one of my (also pale-skinned) friends said she tried it out, and it didn’t look too dark on her. So for me, this is a maybe! I definitely want to check it out in stores.
NARs Highlighting Powders in Fort De France or Capri
These aren’t out yet, but the collection will be launching March 15 on Nars’ site. I haven’t seen too much about these, but I watched Mariah Leonard’s video with the Fort De France shade, and it looks absolutely stunning! It seems to be more of a wet look highlighter with a “natural” non-glittery finish. From what I can tell, I don’t really have many highlighters that look like this, so I’m definitely intrigued!
LH Cosmetics Enchanted Secrets Palette
A few weeks ago, my friend introduced me to the stunning makeup artist that is Linda Hallberg. (If you haven’t seen her looks, you should definitely check her out). Ever since, I have been obsessed with her fun, mostly bold looks. I’ve noticed for her work, she often uses her own line, LH Cosmetics. Recently, I ordered her crayons (they look like eyeliners, but can be used anywhere on the face), but I can’t stop staring at the Enchanted Secrets palette. It is a four-pan palette and the shades are more like sheer toppers than heavily pigmented shadows, but I don’t really have any others that look like this and every look I see with them is STUNNING.
Pat Mcgrath Mothership III Subversive or Mothership IV Decadence
Like Natasha Denona (one of my favorite brands) Pat Mcgrath is known as a luxury makeup brand with super high-quality products. I have never tried anything in this line before, but looking at these shades, it is oh-so tempting to pick one (or two) up! Lately, I have been really into finding makeup that I would deem to be unique, not run of the mill things I can easily get dupes for or have 20 times over in my collection. That’s why these palettes have really caught my eye. The Decadence palette is limited edition and all 10 shades are metallic, but they are so unique and unlike any others that I have. The Mothership III has mix of finishes including matte, pearl and sparkle. These colors are also very unique and all of the swatches I’ve seen, make me really want this!
What do you have your eye on? Let me know!
