Quite a few years ago, I attempted my hand at having a fashion blog. At the time, I enjoyed having a fun, creative outlet, but I soon realized 1. clothes are expensive to constantly keep buying and 2. fashion really isn’t a true love of mine. So, I quietly let the site die off as I got busier with school and life.
Fast forward a few years.
It’s now 2016, I have my first real (out-of-school job), I’m living in a new city, and I once again get sucked into the black hole that is Youtube. When I was younger I LOVED watching makeup tutorials on Youtube. (Think back to the O.G. Youtube days of Blair and Elle Fowler pre-L.A.) You see, makeup was something I have always loved, but I didn’t always have a disposable income to spend on it (and Sephora wasn’t all that close by). But now, I was in the workforce, and I could finally buy all those pretty palettes and anything else that I might want.
After watching many, many videos and practicing new looks and techniques, I decided I wanted a new fun, creative outlet where I could share something I am very passionate about.
Enter: My Youtube channel.
Throughout the last year or so, I have been working on videos for my channel. They include tutorials, reviews and more. My goal with my channel is to create the kind of content I’d want to watch with the information that I am looking for.
I don’t always have time to go to the store – or the store closest to me might not have the thing that I am looking for, so before I buy online, I always try to do as much research as I can, but sometimes that information doesn’t exist.
So my goal (with this site and my channel) is to help people like me, who like to research before they buy, and to help people who want to learn more about makeup, who want to have fun with it and express themselves.
I decided to start this site as a supplement to my channel, where I can post more content, be more creative and hopefully share my love for this art form in a new way.
If you’re reading this, thanks for joining me on this journey. I appreciate it.
